Description
Every country town has its iconic buildings. Pubs, churches and even a hospital. These country town icons are mixed in with the new modern but less imaginative structures. Creating a painting that captures the strangeness of the old beside the new, the everydayness and the beauty of life in a rural town was really fun. Of coarse, some impressionistic licence is used with the Lachlan River, the hills and colours. This is however, an iconic building and corner in the NSW rural town of Cowra. It is a large painting that I hope finds itself a home where it can be appreciated.
