Description
The inspiration for Cricket at Grandma’s came from my neighbours family who gather for Christmas every year and always, rain, hail or heat wave have a game of cricket in our street. We are very fortunate in our small town of Canowindra not only to have very little traffic but also when something like this happens everyone is welcome. As I talk to others, it would appear that this is a common event. This piece does depict the heat and arid nature of the Australian landscape. It emphasises that no matter where you live in our great land there always time for a game of cricket.
