Orange in Autumn

Amazing and nearly unbelievable are the colours of the town of Orange as it experiences Autumn. Every street sees a myriad of colours from vivid Red, orange to bright yellow. This painting was inspired by a photo taken in Orange from a look out. Yes, I’ve made the colours quite stark and surreal in this painting but it’s tricky to communicate just how bright it really is. The rainbow and diversity of colour is extreme and overwhelms the eye. Its like a paint palette. You really have got to see it to believe it.
