Description
Built in 1887 as the Brundah Creek Wesleyan Church, this beautiful little Church building was moved to its present location 18km east of Grenfell in 1916 and renamed Cowra Road Methodist Church. This Church building was a common feature during my childhood. We would pass it on our regular trips to Grenfell and although it was officially closed when I was one years old we attended functions and services that were held there from time to time. If your ever traveling between Cowra and Grenfell in NSW keep an eye out for “The Blue Church”.
Oh … and why is it painted blue? I have no idea!
A photo artist, Ian Ramsay, has some excellent images and merchandise featuring this iconic building … check him out here
